George Takei, 'Trek's' Sulu: I'm gay:

LOS ANGELES, California (AP) -- George Takei, who as helmsman Sulu steered the Starship Enterprise through three television seasons and six movies, has come out as a homosexual in the current issue of Frontiers, a biweekly Los Angeles magazine covering the gay and lesbian community.

(when I first started reading the headline identifying a celebrity, I thought he had died. No such luck.)

Raymond buddy, ya wanna go on a spammer hunt with me ?? As far as the whole sulu thing goes, WTF is with celebrities and deciding to be gay all of a sudden, and also what's with so many in America actually giving a flying fu...lip.

You NEED a surf shirt rashguard. Really you NEED one...
Who the hell is Sulu? I'm out of the trekkie loop.

For those reading this, I took the spam off and left Laura out to dry (get it, dry, rashguard.... uh... yeah).

Anyway, Laura, you don't know who Sulu is? He was the Asian helmsman in the original series. He was part of the main cast, in other words, you knew he was coming back from the landing parties.

In the later movies, he became a Captain. But now it seems he's also a captain ass-jocky.

    Gay is the new black.

Kind of gives the whole "To go where no man has gone before" a new meaning.

    (I know, too easy.)

Did he pause when your hands touched handing over the picture, accompanied by a long, lingering look?

I see you have met him too.
